Satisfaction!

We worked hard, and at times, we slowed down to ponder what we had created. In a span of less than a year, we had transformed a junk yard into a beautiful garden. We pinched ourselves often, thinking how the city at first told us we could not build a garden. Here we were, half a year later, with an enclosed space, hundreds of plants, and over one hundred students could claim they got their hands dirty, making this dream into a reality. We demonstrated that students, if persistant, could make real changes in their environment. We had given Kennedy High School something to be proud of. In this last photo gallery, we offer pictures of the many students involved in building the garden, and show that this space was one in which the students could enjoy themselves and reflect on their hard earned success!

We made sure everyone ate well after a hard few hours of work
